Recognised by the Shoulder-Mark
After the Battle of Hunayn (8 AH), Shayma was brought before the Prophet ﷺ as a captive. She said she was his foster sister, and showed him the bite-mark on her shoulder from his infancy — when she had carried him as a baby. 1 History of Islam · Vol 1 · pp. 227 — Najeebabadi — Shayma identified by the bite-mark on her shoulder from carrying the Prophet ﷺ as a baby.
The Prophet ﷺ wept, spread out his shawl for her to sit on, and sent her back to her people with gifts of camels, goats, and slaves. 2 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 3 · pp. 87–88 — Idris Kandhlawi — the Prophet ﷺ weeps; seats Shayma on his shawl; gifts of camels, goats and slaves.
