The Two Scouts at the Well
Basbas and Adi ibn Abi Zaghba were sent ahead of the army at Badr to scout Abu Sufyan’s caravan. They lay flat at a well-side, overheard slave-women carrying water mention the caravan’s stopping-point, and returned with the intelligence that opened the way for the Battle of Badr. 1 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 2 · pp. 27–28, 30 — Idris Kandhlawi — Basbas ibn Amr and Adi ibn Abi Zaghba as Badr scouts.
