The Orator of the Delegation
When the Banu Tamim sent their delegation to the Prophet ﷺ in 9 AH, they brought their orator Atarid ibn Hajib. Hayatus Sahaba and Seerat-e-Mustafa preserve his speech in its original Arabic — to which the Prophet ﷺ replied through Thabit ibn Qays Shammas, his own orator.
