Envoy to the Emperor of Persia
Abdullah ibn Hudhafa, of Banu Sahm, was an early Muslim whom the Prophet ﷺ chose to carry his letter to Khosrau (Kisra), emperor of Persia, inviting him to Islam. The proud Khosrau tore the letter to pieces, scorning that he be summoned by one he deemed his subject. When the news reached the Prophet ﷺ, he foretold that Khosrau’s kingdom would likewise be torn apart — a prophecy fulfilled when the Persian empire fell to the Muslims. 1 Seerat-e-Mustafa · Vol 1 · pp. 417 — Idris Kandhlawi — Abdullah ibn Hudhafa carries the Prophet's letter to Kisra, who tears it; the Prophet foretells his kingdom's ruin. 2 History of Islam · Vol 1 · pp. 211–212 — Najeebabadi — the embassy to Kisra and the prophecy of his kingdom's destruction. He later took part in the conquests and died in Egypt.
